With this issue, we begin the eleventh volume of EJVS. After 10 years 
of publication that have witnessed ever increasing technological  
innovation it seems appropriate to change the format of the journal.

We will now move to a basically pdf-based web presence.  As is well 
known, the freely available  acro reader 
(http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/) will allow to read any fonts 
that have been put in by authors in correct form,  eliminating  the 
necessity of laboriously converting from the individual fonts into the 
Kyoto-Harvard or similar systems.

Hint: use the slightly older version Adobe 5 (or check out the updates 
of 6.0 -- which had problems -- such as 6.0.2: 
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=2588

In addition,  the Unicode fonts that are now easily available both for 
the PC and the Macintosh allow another, universally  available way of 
representing Sanskrit and other languages in Roman script.  
Contributions in unicode will be preferred henceforth.

If we receive requests to continue with disseminating the journal in 
email form, we will also do so as well; however, only in the original 
input fonts. A table of correspondences will then be provided.

The transition is made with this issue.  It will be sent out in pdf 
format (attached here).  In the future, new issues will merely be 
announced by email but not sent out as such, to save bandwidth.
